Student Profile

Knowledge acquisition is based on a number of diverse factors but the most central are the development of self-esteem, emotional stability, positive attitudes, and skills in organisation and learning such as research skills, organisation of time, along with the development of analytical and thinking and problem solving skills. Students should learn to control and construct their own learning within the context of their knowledge and understanding of their local, national and international communities.

To this end open-mindedness, independent critical thinking, and the ability to evaluate and justify knowledge and beliefs are central to the learning process. The students themselves become active participants in the learning process, setting their goals and linking the learning experience to their learning goals and environment. The hope is that students see learning as an interesting and integral part of the world in which they live.
