House System

Our school has a House system that promotes teamwork, organisation, initiative, and balance, while fostering respect for the diverse talents and abilities of our students in an environment that encourages leadership amongst all of them.

The primary goal of this system is to facilitate and encourage participation across the entire educational community, divided into four Houses: Griffin, Phoenix, Pegasus, and Minotaur. These houses compete against each other in various sports disciplines or academic spaces throughout the year, either in teams or individually.

A points system evaluates academic work, effort, sports, arts, and many extracurricular projects carried out during the year, thereby promoting healthy competition and determining the year's champion.

Regarding House members, it should be noted that all our students, parents, teachers, administrative and maintenance staff are assigned to a house from the moment they join the school and remain in it throughout their time at St. George's College. Siblings and parents automatically assume the house of the first child to enter.

Each House is led by two students who hold the positions of Captain and Vice-Captain, supported by a faculty member. Their main role is to guide and motivate House members and organise necessary strategies to face each competition effectively.

At the end of each term, the scores from all events will be tallied and reported, culminating in the announcement of the House Shield winner at the end of the year.
