The language emphasis in Nursery and Pre Kinder is on oral/auditory communication oriented towards teamwork. Vocabulary, everyday phrases, and modeling correct grammatical structures are acquired and developed through a practical and active approach. Songs, stories, poems and action rhymes are the basic strategies used to develop and enrich the language.
The teaching methodology is based on Inquiry Based Learning which allows the child to learn from their environment, making them builders of their own learning.
The Junior School provides a dynamic and caring learning environment which is full of energy, enthusiasm, and creativity. The British-based approach to education instills a love of learning which can be seen in all areas of work and play within a positive atmosphere where students thrive and can achieve their very best as independent learners.
The emphasis in the Senior School is on providing a quality education which prepares all students for entrance to, and success at, university, whether it be in Peru, the UK, USA or another country abroad. Students who transfer out of the school are well-prepared for other systems of schooling, having been taught how to work independently, think creatively for themselves, make responsible decisions and to use information effectively in unfamiliar situations.
The Senior School is organised into a system of four houses named after mythological creatures, Pegasus, Minotaur, Phoenix and Griffin.
The House system provides a system through which social, sporting and artistic cultural and environmental events, including competitions, are organised. Each House is led by a Head of House appointed from among the teaching staff. Captains and Vice-Captains, elected from among the student body, are responsible for assisting the Head of House in the organisation of House activities and competitions.

The school uses a variety of methodologies, with inquiry-based learning being the most significant. This is part of our articulated set of courses offered by ICA, covering from Nursery to Pre-university. This methodology encourages students to investigate the quality and relationship of things, giving meaning to their learning and putting them in control of it.
Yes, we became an IB school in 2011 and offer the IB Diploma and Careers Programme in grades 10 and 11. Nursery through grade 9 follows ICA courses that provide articulated international preparation for both.
In Early Years, students have almost 60% of their instruction in English. In Junior School, it's around 50%. In Middle Years, it's just under 30% of the total instruction time. For the IB Diploma, the range varies depending on the chosen elective courses.
Depending on the grade level, we offer a wide variety of co-curricular activities. For younger students, parents choose the activities. There are sports, arts, science, music, and culinary activities for both Early and Junior School.
Senior students have a wide range of activities on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school, including sports, cultural, artistic options, or just fun activities.
Currently, students in grades 5 through 9 have French as part of their curriculum, supervised by the Alliance Française. In grade 10, students can choose French as part of the IB Diploma program.
We are local members of ADECOPA (Asociación de Colegios Particulares Amigos), an association of private schools where we participate in various sporting, cultural, and academic activities.
Students with athletic skills are selected by coaches and trained to participate in interscholastic competitions. This training takes place after classes (3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. for Junior and 3:00 p.m. to 4:20 p.m. for Senior).
We also participate in sports tournaments organised by other schools like Newton, Markham, San Silvestre and Peruano Británico.
Our school is secular. We have students of various religions, but most of our students are Catholic. Religion classes are taught in English in Junior School and aim to internalise the practice of values in students' daily lives. Additionally, international programmes expect students to know about other religions.

We encourage our students to participate in student exchanges and international experiences. We have various agreements and programs that allow our students to explore the world and enrich their academic and personal development through ISP, BSP, ISCA, Round Square, Coded, , among others.
We handle inclusion cases in close collaboration with the family. To support students with special educational needs, the family must share the respective evaluation reports to provide appropriate support. This work is ongoing through a team of highly trained professionals guided by our protocols.
St. George's College does not offer its own school transportation service. Instead, each family is responsible for privately hiring the transportation service that best suits their needs and preferences. This allows parents to choose the mobility option they consider the safest and most convenient for their children. We recommend carefully evaluating the available options in the market and selecting one that meets the required safety and quality standards.
